1. How do I apply to be a volunteer?
You can apply directly online by clicking on the "Apply" tab on the menu and filling out the online application. Once Light of Life receives your request, we will let you know as soon as possible if you have been approved to become a volunteer. Please be advised that we often do require individuals to obtain clearances in order to volunteer at specific events.

Yes, we require volunteers to undergo volunteer training to better understand the volunteer program at Light of Life and also to pick up some skills/knowledge that will enrich their volunteer experience.
3. How do I apply to be a mentor?
You are only eligible to become a mentor if you have completed the online application and been approved as a volunteer. After you sign in to your account, you can click on the "Apply to be a Mentor" tab and fill out the Statement of Interest, which will be forwarded to the Light of Life. We will receive your application and let you know as soon as possible if you have been approved to become a mentor. Please be advised that we do require individuals to obtain clearances in order to become a mentor.

Yes, we require mentors to undergo mentor training to better understand the mentor program at Light of Life and also to pick up some skills/knowledge that will enrich their mentor experience.
5. How do I sign up for an event?
You can sign in with your email and password and click on the "Events" tab. On the Calendar View, you can click on an Event and sign up in the panel that appears. You can also sign up if you Go to List View and click on Show for an Event.
6. How I do submit a mentor report?
If you sign in with your username and password, you can click on the "Mentor Reports" tab and click on (+) Add New Report. Fill out the information in the panel that appears and submit your report. This report will be forwarded to Light of Life for our records, so please make sure that all information is correct and accurate before you submit.
7. How do I sign up for a training?
Volunteer and Mentor Trainings can be found on the Calendar under the "Events" tab. Once you have submitted a training request, Light of Life will review your request and based on availability, will let you know if you have been approved for the training.
8. What are Groups used for?
In the case that you are part of a special interest group or organization and are interested in volunteering as a group for larger events, you can create a Group and submit the request to Light of Life. We will left you know if your Group has been approved. After you have been approved, you can sign your Group up for events through the "Events" tab.
